Turntable object photo capture in a studio

Lock camera pose and focal length; shoot RAW, normalize WB/exposure; turntable stepping with high overlap plus bottom coverage.

Gear and formats

ILC with a prime reduces zoom drift; macro lenses help small parts. Normalize RAWs before exporting JPEGs to reduce per-frame exposure jumps.

Aperture and focus

f/8–f/11 is a common sharpness–DoF trade-off band; focus stacking helps tiny subjects when a single plane is insufficient.

Turntable stepping and bottom

High overlap between stepped frames keeps tracking continuous; flip the asset to cover the bottom with overlapping transitions. Automated turntable masking still needs QC.
